Vibrant Primrose Birthday Card
Hello, crafty friends! I am so excited to share a card featuring the gorgeous new Primrose dies from the Serenity Garden Collection by Susan Tierney-Cockburn for Spellbinders! These beautiful dimensional flowers bring so much life and joy to a handmade card, creating a perfect mini garden right on your project.
Here is how I created this vibrant birthday card!
Creating the Textured Background: I started with a base of Seaside cardstock and ran it through with the gorgeous Ode to a Poet 3D Embossing Folder by Susan Tierney-Cockburn. The elegant, poetic texture provides the perfect backdrop for our floral garden.
- Crafting the Primroses: I die-cut the petals using the Primrose Etched Dies from white cardstock. To give them a lively pop, I colored them using vibrant pink and purple markers. After shaping them into dimensional blooms, I added delicate details using a white gel pen to make the petals truly stand out.
Adding the Foliage: The lush leaves were die-cut from Rainforest cardstock. I added depth and shading to each leaf using alcohol markers before assembling them around the flowers.
The Sentiment: For the greeting, I used the Layered Happy Birthday Etched Dies. I die-cut the sentiment twice from white cardstock and layered them together to give it a clean, substantial look that stands out against the embossed background.
there. Finally, I arranged and adhered the primroses and leaves to frame the sentiment, completing this bright and happy card!
I hope this bright and textured card gives you some fun inspiration for your next floral project. Thank you so much for stopping by today!
Happy Crafting!
