I am so excited to share today’s project featuring the brand-new Classic Road Legends 2.0 Collection from Spellbinders! This June release is a fantastic follow-up to last year’s original set, and I couldn’t wait to get these on my craft desk.
I started with the Highway Horizons-Desert Layered Stencils by Mindy Eggen. Although these stencils were originally designed for a horizontal layout, I decided to rotate them to create a striking vertical scene. To capture a breathtaking desert sunset, I ink-blended the sky with vibrant pink and yellow hues, masked the mountains in deep purple, and filled the desert floor with warm orange tones.
For the star of the show, I used the Hot Rod Flames Etched Dies by Mindy Eggen. I die-cut the car body from Mulberry and Violet cardstock, and layered the flames using Carrot and Beeswax cardstock. For a realistic finish, I used Silver Metallic cardstock for the front grille, rearview mirror, and shiny wheel accents. After fully assembling the vintage car, I popped it up onto the desert background using foam stickers to add beautiful dimension and make it look like it’s driving right off the card!
I hope this card inspires you to take your stencils for a spin and try rotating them to see your designs from a brand-new perspective! Thank you so much for stopping by today.
Happy Crafting, Heejung.

These stencils look amazing, I’ve been searching for something similar to use with watercolour.
