Spread Love with Simon Says Stamp May Release Blog Hop!
Hello, crafty friends!
I am so excited to finally share this card with you today. I am thrilled to be participating in the upcoming Simon Says Stamp May Release Blog Hop on May 29th! Today, I’m sharing a vibrant, floral card featuring the gorgeous new “Floral Word Builder” stamp set. Let’s dive into how I created this card full of love!
Prepare the Background: I started by creating the card background. I took a piece of Oceanside cardstock and ran it through my die-cutting machine using the new Simon Says Stamp Mid Century 3D Embossing Folder to add a beautiful, deep textured pattern.
Stamp the Images: Next, I stamped the letters to spell “LOVE” from the Floral Word Builder Stamp set onto crisp white cardstock using crisp black ink.
Coloring: I used my favorite alcohol markers to blend a beautiful blue gradient on the letters, and then colored in the beautiful flowers, the sweet little bird, and the butterfly with vibrant pinks, greens, and yellows.
Fussy Cutting & Assembly: After coloring, I carefully fussy cut all the letters and elements with my precision scissors. To finish the card, I popped up the “LOVE” letters and the small elements onto the textured Oceanside background using foam stickers for wonderful dimension.

The contrast between the textured embossed background and the blue gradient on the LOVE letters really makes the focal point stand out. I also like how the florals, bird, and butterfly add color without overwhelming the design. Did you use a specific marker blending technique to keep the blue gradient on the letters so smooth?
