Spread Some Joy with Groovy Daisies & Friendship
Hi crafties! I’m continuing the celebration of the Simon Says Stamp February New Release with a card that’s all about friendship and retro vibes. There’s something so cheerful about a daisy pattern, don’t you think?
The Background: I used the brand-new Groovy Daisies Background Stamp for this look. I started with Tutu cardstock and stamped the image with Versamark ink. Then, I applied white embossing powder and heat set it to create a beautiful, raised floral pattern that pops against the pink.
The Focal Point: For the center layers, I used the Chunky Scalloped Ovals Dies (from last month’s release). I die-cut one from white cardstock and another from Fairy Tale cardstock to create a soft, layered effect.
The Sentiment: I chose a heartwarming sentiment from the Friendship Stamp set. I stamped it in crisp black ink on the white oval.
The Details: To make the sentiment stand out, I used a marker to add subtle shadow details to the hearts and the words “my friend,” “Smile,” and “Laugh.” It’s a small touch that adds a lot of dimension!
