Celebrate Sweet New Arrivals with Spellbinders Say Cheese Classic Pooh’s Birthday Collection

Hello everyone! I am so excited to share a whimsical baby card featuring the brand new Pooh’s Birthday Collection from Spellbinders. There is something so nostalgic and heartwarming about Classic Pooh, and this collection captures that magic perfectly. Today’s card uses a combination of BetterPress, stamping, and dimensional die-cutting to create a scene straight out of the Hundred Acre Wood.

Step-by-Step Process:

Creating the Background: I started by using the Say Cheese Classic Pooh Baby Press + Foil Plate & Die Bundle. I pressed the map design onto watercolor paper using BetterPress Black ink. To keep the vintage feel, I added a light touch of watercoloring to the map.

Framing the Scene: To create a sense of looking through the sky, I die-cut a frame using the Tunnel Clouds Etched Dies. I blended a soft light blue ink around the edges and popped it up with foam tape for depth.

Stamping and Coloring: The adorable Pooh and the flying bird are from the Hello Baby Stamp & Die Bundle (with Simple Stories). I stamped them in black ink, colored them with markers, and used the coordinating dies to cut them out before adhering them with foam stickers.

The Sentiment Banner: I stamped the banner image from the Hello Baby set onto Waterfall cardstock using Versamark ink. I applied white embossing powder and heat-set it for a crisp look. After die-cutting the banner, I stamped the “CONGRATULATIONS!” sentiment in black ink and attached it to the center.

Finishing Touches: To complete the “floating” effect, I tucked several die-cut clouds around the frame and the characters.

This card was such a joy to make! The map background provides the perfect storybook setting for Pooh’s big adventure. I hope this inspires you to create something sweet for the little ones in your life.
