Spellbinders- Merry Moments Mega Kit Collection

Hello, crafting friends! Today, I’m thrilled to share two festive cards I created using the incredible Spellbinders Merry Moments Mega Kit Collection. This collection is packed with beautiful dies and press plates, and I’ve focused on two of my favorites for these projects: the Gifting Bow Etched Dies and the Petite Criss Cross Press Plate. Let’s dive in!

Card 1: "Joy to the World" with Holiday Foliage

First up is this elegant card, featuring a beautiful central sentiment.

The “Joy to the World” sentiment was pressed onto the card panel using the Holiday Foliage Joy Press Plate and Turquoise BetterPress Press Ink. The BetterPress System gives such a crisp, letterpress-like impression. Once pressed, one of the Mirrored Arch Labels Etched Dies was used to die-cut the sentiment panel, giving it a lovely shaped border. To add dimension, the die-cut sentiment panel was adhered onto the card front using foam stickers, making it pop beautifully.

For the floral elements, a variety of cardstocks were used. The beautiful bows were die-cut from Mulberry Cardstock. The poinsettias were crafted from Orchid Cardstock and Fairy Tale Cardstock, while the leaves were cut from Rainforest Cardstock and Teal Topaz Cardstock. The smaller flowers were made with Blush Cardstock. The serene background for this card is Seaside Cardstock, which perfectly complements the vibrant floral arrangement.

Card 2: Sparkling "Merry Christmas" with Festive Bows

The second card brings in some sparkle and classic holiday elements!

  4. Sparkle Gold Glimmer Hot Foil

  5. Green Ink (Altenew-Teal Tempest)

  6. Blending Brush

  7. Gold Metallic Cardstock

  8. Red Metallic Cardstock

  9. Matte Gold Hot Foil

For the background of this card, the Petite Criss Cross Press Plate was used with Sparkle Gold Glimmer Hot Foil. The foiled criss-cross pattern adds a beautiful shimmery texture. After hot foiling, green ink was lightly blended around the edges of the panel with a blending brush to create a subtle shading effect and deepen the color.

The stunning focal point is created with the Gifting Bow Etched Dies. The intricate bow design was die-cut from Gold Metallic Cardstock for a luxurious look. The poinsettia and ornaments were die-cut from Red Metallic Cardstock and Gold Metallic Cardstock, respectively, adding vibrant pops of color and shine.

Finally, the “Merry Christmas” sentiment was added using the Wonderland Collection Merry Messages Plate & Die Set. Matte Gold Hot Foil was used to hot foil the sentiment, which was then die-cut with the coordinating die and adhered to the card.
