Banana Bread Birthday Card | Spellbinders November Stencil Club

Hello, crafty friends!

In banana years, this card is bread! The whole background is a bunch of happy bananas, stenciled with Banana Bread, the November Stencil of the Month from Spellbinders. The funny sentiment comes from Congratulations! You’re Older, the November Clear Stamp & Die of the Month.

Background:

The panel starts as plain white cardstock, covered edge to edge with bananas using the Banana Bread layering stencils. The finished panel is die-cut with the Perfect Touch Rectangles and Tag Etched Dies from the Happy Hour Collection, which gives the panel its pretty looped stitch edge, and mounted on a Rainforest cardstock mat, so the bright bananas pop against the deep green frame.

Focal Images:

Every banana is built up in layers with the stencils. The main coloring is done with the Altenew Citrus Punch Fresh Dye Ink Pad Set β€” a sunny yellow base, soft orange shading, and brown spots and smiling faces. The stems are colored with the Altenew Forest Trail Fresh Dye Ink Mini Cube Set, and the tiny pink cheeks use the Blush color from the Altenew Red Sunset Fresh Dye Ink Mini Cube Set. The bananas tumble in every direction, and no two faces are quite the same β€” some are laughing, some are winking, and some look very pleased with themselves.

Sweet, silly, and full of bananas! Thank you so much for stopping by today. See you in the next project!

Happy Crafting,
