These two cards star one very stylish chicken! Both cards are made with Frosty Tweet Friends, the November Small Die of the Month from Spellbinders. One chicken is dressed up and ready to party, and the other one is split right across the middle of the card for a fun surprise. Same die set, two completely different looks!
π Let's Party Chicken Card
Background:
The background is a plain lavender cardstock panel, kept simple so the dressed-up chicken stays the star of the card.
Focal Images:
The chicken body is die-cut from white cardstock and colored with yellow ink using a blending brush, for soft, even color. The wings are colored in orange tones. The scarf and the high heels are die-cut from Teal Topaz cardstock, and the sunglasses are cut from black mirror cardstock, so they really shine. A tiny handbag and a wine glass complete the party look.
Sentiment:
The sentiment is stamped in black at the bottom of the panel. ‘LET’S PARTY LIKE I DIDN’T FORGET YOUR BIRTHDAY’ comes from Congratulations! You’re Older, the November Clear Stamp & Die of the Month β such a funny line for a belated birthday card.
Guess What? Split Chicken Card
Background:
The two background panels start as Blush and Fern cardstock. Both pieces are placed together and embossed in one pass with Wonky Check, the November Embossing Folder of the Month, so the checkered pattern lines up across the color change β pink on top, green on the bottom.
Focal Images:
The chicken is die-cut from white cardstock and split right across the middle seam of the card: the legs in red heels walk across the top half with a little handbag, while the head and wings pop up from the bottom half. The scarf is Tutu cardstock, and the comb and the heels are Poppy cardstock. The black sunglasses give the chicken so much attitude!
Sentiment:
The ‘GUESS WHAT?’ banner sits right on the seam between the two halves. The banner is die-cut from Saffron cardstock, and the sentiment die is included in Frosty Tweet Friends, the November Small Die of the Month set β no extra products needed.
One die set, two funny chickens! Thank you so much for stopping by today. See you in the next project!
