Archway Charm: A New Look with Yana’s Everyday City Collection

Today, I am sharing a second version of my card using the beautiful Yana’s Everyday City Collection from Spellbinders. While my previous card focused on a cozy home aesthetic, this version highlights the classic archway windows, paired with vibrant colors and extra details to make the façade truly pop.

For this project, I used Blush cardstock for the building base to create a soft, inviting foundation. To add contrast and sophistication, I used Cosmic Sky cardstock for the archway window frames and the flower boxes.

  • Awnings: I used a combination of Beeswax and white cardstock for the awnings, which adds a bright, cheerful energy to the building.

  • Curtains & Florals: I chose Breeze cardstock for the curtains. For the flower boxes, I used Tutu and Dahlia cardstock; to make them look extra lush, I die-cut the flowers and then carefully trimmed them with scissors to layer them individually. For the ground-level flower box, I used Fairy Tale and Lavender cardstock for a beautiful color variety.

  • Finishing Touches: I used a tiny gold embellishment for the door handle to add a touch of elegance.

  • Sentiment: I used a black cardstock panel with matte gold hot foil, die-cut to perfectly accent the scene.

I love how these small, intentional choices in color and layering can completely change the personality of the building!

I hope you find inspiration in these different ways to style your cityscape.

Happy crafting! Heejung
