Blooming Greetings with Spellbinders Field Note Collection

Hello crafty friends!

Today, I’m excited to share three unique cards I created using the gorgeous Field Note collection from Spellbinders Paper Arts. This collection is bursting with natural beauty and inspiring elements, perfect for creating heartfelt greetings. I especially loved incorporating the April Stitched Die Club’s Note Pad die for a textured background and playing with the Bloom Wildly BetterPress Plate and the April BPOM Club Letter sentiments. Let’s dive into how these cards came together!

Wild Bloom Birthday Wishes

This card embraces the floral beauty of the Field Note collection.

 

  1. Focal Image: I pressed the Bloom Wildly BetterPress Plate onto white cardstock using Pixie Dust Color ink, creating a delicate outline of wildflowers.
  2. Background: I used the Stitched Taking Note die to cut the pressed Bloom images.
  3. Stitching: I stitched the note lines with blue and pink thread.
  4. Layering: I adhered the colored floral panel to the card base.
  5. Sentiment: I stamped the sentiment from the Send and Seal clear stamp and die Club of the April with Versamark ink onto black card stock, applied white embossing powder, heat set it with the heat tool, and die-cut it with the coordinating die.
  6. Color Pencils Embellishment: I die-cut the Pencils with the Field Note Tool die on the Lavender, Fairy Tale, and Raven color stock and attached them to the card.

Elegant Oval Birthday Greetings

This card showcases the Bloom Wildly Better Press Plate within an elegant oval frame.

 

  1. Create the Background: To add texture, I used a 3D embossing folder (Field Notes 3D embossing Folder)to create a subtle pattern on the background. I used the Cosmic sky card stock.
  2. Press the Floral Image: Ink the Bloom Wildly Better Press Plate with a contrasting color (I used a vibrant blue) and press it onto a white BP Cotton card stock.
  3. Create the Oval Frame: Die-cut an oval frame from gold cardstock using the Stitched Wall Hanging die and pressed wildflowers.
  4. Assemble the Oval Element: Adhere the pressed floral image onto a slightly larger white oval die-cut. Then, adhere the gold frame around the pressed image.
  5. Hot Foil the Sentiment: Use gold foil to hot foil a sentiment from the Holding Your Heart Sentiments onto black cardstock and die-cut it with the coordinating die.
  6. Assemble the Card: Attach the framed floral element to the embossed navy cardstock base. Adhere the hot-foiled sentiment below the oval.
  7. Final Touches: I added small gold pearls at the top of the oval frame for a decorative touch.

Friendly Reminder Note Birthday Card

This card utilizes the April BPOM Club Letter sentiments for a unique background.

  1. Background: I pressed the BPOM of April Club Letter sentiments onto a piece of white cardstock using a blue ink. This created a subtle and textured background filled with encouraging words.
  2. Flowers: I die-cut several leaves, stems, and flowers from the Field Note Wild Flowers dies. I added shades to the leaves and stems to enhance their depth.
  3. Sentiment: I pressed the sentiment in black ink and adhered it over the flower.
  4. Embellishment: I die-cut a washi tape shape from the Field Note Wild Flowers dies and attached it to the flowers. I also added small white pearls to the flowers.

I truly enjoyed playing with the Field Note collection and combining it with the April club offerings from Spellbinders. The versatility of these products allowed me to create three distinct cards, each with its own unique charm and message.
