Altenew- September 2024 Release Blog Hop
Hello, friends!
I’m excited to share my new Altenew cards featuring the September 2024 releases. Today, I’m sharing two Christmas cards with the Cardinal Love and Berry Branch Layering Die.
Peace & Joy Card
First, emboss the diamond stars 3D embossing holder onto the Hunter Green cardstock. Then, apply Teal Tempest ink using blending brushes to add shading.
I splattered the white watercolor with blushes.
I die-cut the Berry Branches and Cardinals using the Berry Branch Layering die and the Cardinal Love Layering die. For the Cardinals, I used burnt red cardstock. I also die-cut the “Peace & Joy” word from the Timeless Sentiments die on white cardstock.
Happy Holidays Card
To create additional cards, I die-cut the Cardinals and Berry Branches. I used the Land to Sea 3D embossing folder for the background and colored the top part of the embossed paper using pool-color ink.
I used markers to add more shading to the cardinals, creating a 3D effect. I also heat-embossed the sentiment from the Pocket Sentiments stamp and coordinating die in gold. Finally, I finished the card with Tranquility Enamel dots.

Hello HeeJung. Your Cardinal cards are just lovely. They layering on the birds makes them look so realistic. I like how you highlighted your birds by making a shadow around your birds using the new Hunter Green card stock and matching ink. I like how you used the new embossing folders and splatters for the little details.
