Artistic Silhouette: Whisper Weave Watercolor Card

This striking project showcases a unique artistic approach using the All My Senses Collection by Jaycee Gaspar, a stunning March 2026 new release from Spellbinders. This collection blends continuous line art with modern, abstract designs, and this card focuses on the beautiful fluidity of those forms.

The focal point was created by pressing the Whisper Weave Press + Foil Plate onto watercolor cardstock using black BetterPress ink. The silhouette was then brought to life with vibrant watercoloring, blending bold hues across the figure to create a sense of movement and emotion.

To add a creative twist, a unique frame was incorporated using a “happy accident.” This frame is actually the negative space left over after die-cutting with the Fragmented Gaze Etched Dies from the new March collection. Placing this black frame over the watercolor panel perfectly defines the woman’s profile and hair, giving the card a professional, layered look.

Sentiments:

The “For someone special” greeting was created using the More Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Plate set, foiled in Indigo for a deep, elegant finish.

Accents:

To maintain the clean aesthetic, the butterflies within the main image were left uncolored. A small white butterfly from the Finley the Fox Die Set was added to the frame to provide a delicate, 3D pop that ties the whole composition together.

This “happy accident” with the frame turned out to be one of my favorite details, proving that sometimes the best designs come from exploring our scraps! The All My Senses Collection has so much more to offer, and I have two more distinct card projects featuring this release that I can’t wait to share with you very soon.
