Spellbinders February 2026 Large Die of the Month: “Spring Specks”
Hello, crafting friends! Today, I’m thrilled to share a whimsical card featuring the Spellbinders February 2026 Large Die of the Month called “Spring Specks”. This set is absolutely adorable, featuring a stylish bunny with “Happy Spring” sentiment glasses that make it perfect for Easter or any springtime celebration.
This card is all about layering textures and adding simple hand-drawn details to bring the die-cuts to life:
Textured Backdrop:
I revisited the February Embossing Folder of the Month (“Spring Stripes”). This time, I embossed Seaside cardstock to create a crisp, sky-blue textured background that makes the white bunny pop.
Die-Cutting the Bunny:
I cut the main bunny silhouette from clean white cardstock and used Blush cardstock for the inner ears to give it a soft, natural look.
The Stylish Spectacles:
The star of the show—the glasses—were die-cut from Peridot ColorWheel cardstock. The “HAPPY SPRING” text is built right into the die, making it an effortless way to include a sentiment.
Floral Details:
I used the floral dies included in the set to create a small bouquet for the bunny’s head. To add extra dimension and a “finished” look, I used a white gel pen to draw tiny highlights on the petals and leaves.
Finishing Touches:
I assembled all the pieces onto a white card base, ensuring the bunny was centered to show off those fabulous green glasses.
