Hero Arts- What’s Brewing Collection

Hello, crafty friends!

I’m excited to share my recent creations using the Hero Arts “What’s Brewing” collection, released this June. As a fan of coffee and tea, this collection captured my heart, inspiring me to create new cards.

Perfect for celebrating warm moments with loved ones, I made four cards using elements from the collection. Let’s dive into the details!

You Are Brew-tiful!

For this card, I created a cozy breakfast scene using the Coffee and Croissant Die Set. The die-cut coffee cup and saucer feature a rich, dark coffee, and the croissant has such lovely textured details, making it look so inviting.

The sentiment, “YOU ARE BREW-TIFUL,” was created with a special technique. I stamped it onto black cardstock using watermark ink, then applied white embossing powder and heat-set it with a heat tool to create a beautiful raised effect.

After embossing, I cut out the sentiment strip and attached it to the card with foam stickers for dimension. The card base features a soft cream layer over sunny yellow, making the die cuts and sentiment stand out.

.Coffee Lovers Club

This card is all about celebrating the love for coffee!

The highlight of my project is the Stovetop Espresso Die Set. I die-cut the moka pot from silver and gray cardstock for a metallic shine, and die-cut the cups in cosmic sky cardstock. For the backdrop, I used Color Layering Delft Floral Stencils and layered different shades of blue ink to create an intricate design reminiscent of classic Delft pottery.

To highlight the coffee theme, I created the sentiment “COFFEE LOVERS CLUB” by stamping it in watermark ink on black cardstock, then applying white embossing powder for a raised finish. I cut out the sentiment and used foam stickers for dimension. Additionally, I included a couple of die-cut coffee cups with cute latte art details.

Thanks a Latte for All You Do

For this thank you card, I used the versatile Coffee or Tea Stamp & Cut set. I chose the adorable teacup image and stamped its outline onto white cardstock. To add the beautiful blue pattern, I used the Color Layering Delft Floral Stencils.

Here’s a key tip for stenciling cups perfectly! To ensure the stencil pattern is only inside the cup, I made a custom mask. I stamped the cup image onto mint tape, cut out the shape, and then used the negative piece to mask the handle and inside of the cup after stamping it onto white cardstock. This way, I could stencil the beautiful Delft floral pattern only where I wanted it—inside the cup!

The punny and appreciative sentiment, “Thanks a latte FOR ALL YOU DO,” is stamped in black ink directly onto the bright yellow background, making it a cheerful and heartfelt way to say thank you.

You're My Bestea

Finally, I created a sweet card for a dear friend using the Coffee or Tea Stamp & Cut set, this time focusing on the tea theme.

I stamped the teacup outline onto white cardstock. Similar to the previous card, I used the Color Layering Delft Floral Stencils with red ink to give it a warm and inviting floral pattern. I employed the same masking technique: stamping the cup onto mint tape, cutting it out, and then using the negative portion of the tape to carefully mask off the cup’s handle and the inside area before applying the stencil. This ensured a clean, stenciled design within the cup.

The sentiment “you’re my bestea” was created using an embossing technique for a lovely raised effect. I stamped it onto the teal cardstock using watermark ink, then applied white embossing powder and heat-set it with a heat tool. This gives the handwritten-style sentiment a beautiful, crisp finish, making it a perfect card to show appreciation for a special friend.

I had so much fun creating these cards with the Hero Arts “What’s Brewing” collection! It’s such a versatile and adorable collection that allows for a lot of creativity. Whether you’re a coffee lover, a tea enthusiast, or both, this collection has something for everyone.
