Simon Says Stamp Penguin Mischief – October New Release
Hello, crafty friends! 🐧
Here is the third card from Simon Says Stamp’s October release. This one is so cute and playful, with sweet little penguins and lots of colorful balloons!
- Background: I started with a white cardstock panel and stamped the icy background scene on it — that background stamp is also from October’s “Penguin Mischief” Stamp Set (3499ssc). Then I embossed only the top part of the stamped panel with October’s “Celebration Balloons” Embossing Folder and Cutting Dies (sfd632), so the balloons float in the sky above the icy scene below. I colored the background with markers.
- Balloons: For extra dimension, I die-cut a few balloons with the cutting die from the same set and embossed each one. Then I ink-blended them in bright, happy colors and adhered them right over the matching embossed balloons on the panel. I love how they pop!
- Focal Images: I stamped the penguins from October’s “Penguin Mischief” Stamp Set (3499ssc) separately, colored them, and die-cut them out. Then I adhered them onto the icy scene. They look so happy playing together on the ice!
- Sentiment: The sentiment is from the same “Penguin Mischief” Stamp Set. I heat-embossed “Freeze the day!” with white embossing powder on black cardstock and popped it up with foam adhesive.
Thank you so much for stopping by today! I will be back soon with the fourth and last card from the October release.
Happy Crafting, Heejung 💕
