Spellbinders October All Clubs Crate: Two Holiday Cards
Hello, crafty friends! Today, I’m thrilled to share two Christmas cards made with the bonus items and exclusive die sets from Spellbinders’ October All Clubs Crate. The fun part? Both cards use the same 3D embossing folder β October’s “Holiday Check” 3D Embossing Folder β so you can see how one folder can create two totally different looks! Let’s dive into the details!
Dino Holiday Lineup Card
Background:
Embossed white cardstock with the “Holiday Check” 3D Embossing Folder, leaving the bottom area blank for the sentiment. Then I blended Matcha ink over the embossed panel with a large blending brush β the ink catches the raised pattern and settles into the recessed areas, giving the background that soft, dimensional color.
Focal Images:
Die-cut the adorable dinosaur hugging a giant candy cane with the bonus “Candy Cane Dash” die. The dino’s body is cut from Teal Topaz cardstock with a Waterfall cardstock belly, and the Santa hat and candy cane stripes are Cranberry cardstock. The tiny bird beside him is from this month’s “Frosty Tweet Friends” small die set, cut from Lavender and Lilac cardstock and topped with a Mulberry cardstock hat.
Sentiment:
Stamped “The Holiday Lineup” in black ink with October’s “Crafted With Cheer” clear stamp set and coordinating die.
Merry Goosemas Card
Background:
Embossed Ocean Side cardstock with the same “Holiday Check” 3D Embossing Folder, again leaving room at the bottom for the sentiment. The soft minty-blue tone of the Ocean Side cardstock pairs perfectly with the Christmas theme.
Focal Images:
Two adorable geese from October’s “Merry Goosemas” exclusive die set β one dressed as Santa, the other as a Christmas tree! The geese are cut from white cardstock with Saffron cardstock beaks and feet. The tree is layered with Rainforest and Fern cardstock, decorated with Blush, Poppy, Saffron, and Windy cardstock ornaments. Santa’s outfit is Poppy cardstock, and the little gift is Teal Topaz and Blush cardstock.
Sentiment: Stamped “Merry Goosemas” in black ink β also from October’s “Crafted With Cheer” clear stamp set and coordinating die.
I love how versatile October’s “Holiday Check” 3D Embossing Folder turned out to be β same folder, two completely different vibes!
