Spellbinders- Craft Babe Collection
I’m thrilled to share my creations using the new Spellbinders Crafty Babe Collection, which launched this May!
This collection is perfect for scrapbooking and various paper crafting projects. It includes the Crafty Tools Etched Dies, Labels & Icons Etched Dies, and the Simple Stories Crafty Babe 12 x 12″ Collection Kit. With these fantastic products, I’ve transformed my notebook, created some fun bookmarks, and designed a special card.
Project 1: Embellished Notebook Cover

I love personalizing my stationery, and this collection made it so easy to give inexpensive plain notebook a vibrant new look. This note book size is 5.5 x 8.25 inches.

What I Used:
- My existing notebook: Size 5.5 x 8.25
- The Simple Stories Crafty Babe 12 x 12″ Collection Kit, particularly the bright teal background adorned with images, and the black and white striped paper for the spine.
- The Postage Edge Squares Etched Dies
- Crafty Tools Etched Dies: The adorable scissors, glue bottle
- Adhesive:

First, I cut out one of the pattern paper from The Simple Stories Crafty Babe 12 x 12″ Collection Kit into 5.5 x 8.25 inches to fit the notebook cover.

I used a die to cut out the “I’m A Totally Fabulous Crafty Girl” sentiment from the patterned paper in the Simple Stories Crafty Babe collection. I also die-cut white cardstock with the Postage Edge Squares die and added the sentiment as a square element over the edges.
Then, I die-cut the scissors with the Crafty Tool die on silver metallic card stock and Carrot Card stock. Also I die-cut the glue bottle from the Crafty Tool dies on the whit, carrot and Cosmic Sky Card stock.

I cut a piece of black and white striped pattern paper from the Simple Stories Crafty Babe collection, measuring 8.25 x 2.5 inches, to cover the notebook along the spine, mimicking a spiral-bound notebook.
Project 2: Crafty Bookmarks

Who doesn’t love a cute bookmark? I created four unique bookmarks, each with its own distinct personality, perfect for gifting or my enjoyment. I added magnetic sheets to the bookmarks so they can stick in the book.

What I Used:
- Simple Stories Crafty Babe 12 x 12″ Collection Kit: Various patterned papers for the base and decorative elements.
- Labels & Icons Etched Dies
- Blossoms & Sentiments BetterPress Plate & Die Set from the Spring in Kyoto Collection
- Magnetic Adhesive Sheets,4″ x 6

I cut the white cardstock to measure 5.5 x 8.5 inches and then folded it in half. Next, I used the Labels Die to die-cut the shape on the fold of the cardstock, making sure not to cut the left side of the label die. This creates the base for the bookmark.
Die-cut the icons, such as a Polaroid camera, tiny scissors, a flower, and a heart, using the Labels & Icons Etched Dies on waterfall, dark gray, and saffron card stock, and adhere them to each bookmark.

I cut the magnetic sheet into pieces measuring 3/4 x 4 inches and attached it to both sides of the bookmark.

I created the sentiment strips using the Blossoms & Sentiments BetterPress Plate & Die Set from the Spring in Kyoto Collection. I hot foiled them using white and black hot foils and die-cut the sentiments with the coordinating dies.

I also used the cut-out strips from the Simple Stories Crafty Babe 12 x 12″ Collection Kit. You can create any item you need to make a bookmark.
Project 3: Crafty Pouch Card

This card is a wonderful way to show appreciation for a fellow crafter! It features a realistic craft pouch filled with a variety of tools.

What I Used:

I embossed the EOM (May 25) on waterfall card stock to create the background.
I die-cut the pouch using Gorgeous You Makeup Bag Etched Dies from the Gorgeous You Collection on white and black strip pattern paper from The Simple Stories Crafty Babe 12 x 12″ Collection Kit and silver metallic card stock.

I created a sentiments tab using the Ideal Moments Press Plate and Die Set from the Vivid Expressions Collection. I pressed the “You’re My Everything” plate onto Silver Mirror Metallic cardstock without ink to create the pouch’s tab.
I die-cut the All Crafty Tool from the Crafty Tools Etched Dies and the Field Notes Tools Etched Dies from the Field Notes Collection.

I hope you enjoyed seeing how I used the Spellbinders Crafty Babe Collection! There are numerous creative ways to utilize this collection for personalized items, much like the one featured in this post. If you have any suggestions regarding this post, please let me know!
