Celebrate the Class of 2025 with a Pop-Up Surprise!

Hello crafty friends! Graduation season is in full swing, and what better way to celebrate the amazing achievements of the Class of 2025 than with a handmade card that truly pops! Today, I’m excited to share a tutorial for creating a memorable graduation pop-up card featuring some fantastic products from Spellbinders: the Classroom Chronicles Die of the Month (May 2025) and the elegant Sweeping Celebration Sentiments.

To add a touch of extra sparkle and sophistication, I’ve incorporated a beautiful gold hot-foiled background using the Falling Stars BetterPress Plate on rich black cardstock. And for those who love a bit of whimsy, I’ve even coordinated this design with the adorable Gnome Drive Graduation die (though not directly featured on the card front, it’s a fun companion for other graduation projects!).

Materials You’ll Need:

  1. Spellbinders Classroom Chronicles Small Die Club of the Month (May 2025)
  2. Spellbinders Sweeping Celebration Sentiments BetterPress Plate
  3. Spellbinders Falling Stars BetterPress Plate
  4. Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System and Matte Gold Foil
  5. Pooh’s Alphabet, Numbers & More Etched Dies
  6. Sending Smiles Sentiments Clear Stamp & Die Set
  7. Spellbinders Gnome Drive Graduation Etched Dies
  8. Spellbinders – Etched Dies – Precision Layering Basics – A2 B
  9. Black Cardstock & Brushed Black Card Stock
  10. Gold Cardstock 
  11. Adhesive (liquid glue and double-sided tape)
  12. Foam Squares or Tape
  13. Scissors or Die-Cutting Machine
  14. Paper Trimmer
  15. Scoring Board Altenew

Die-cut extra graduation caps or other elements from the Classroom Chronicles set, the Gnome Drive Graduation die set, and the numbers from the Pooh’s Alphabet, Numbers die. I stamped the word “Congratulations” using the Sending Smiles Sentiments Clear Stamp with VersaMark ink. Then, I applied gold embossing powder and heat set it with a heat tool. Finally, I die-cut the sentiment using the coordinating die.

This pop-up card is sure to bring a smile to the face of any 2025 graduate! The combination of the elegant gold foiling, the fun pop-up element, and the celebratory sentiments makes it a truly special keepsake.
