Spellbinders- Gorgeous You Makeup Bag shaped Card Holders

I have fallen in love with the Makeup Bag die from the Gorgeous You Collection. There are so many ways to create different-textured makeup bags. Today, I’m showcasing three unique designs of makeup bag- shaped gift card holders.

Pressed Pattern Makeup Bag

I used the Luxe Damask Betterpress Plate for the bag front. I pressed the plate in French Blue and Wild Berry BP ink on the Porcelain BP A7 Cotton Card Panel.

I wanted to create both an open and a closed function for it, so I used the sentiments die-cut for the locker of the gift card holder.

 

I created a strip of foam tape to keep the gift holder closed. I die-cut the makeup case from the gorgeous You Makeup Collection to match the background pattern.

The sentiment was pressed onto Silver Metallic Card stock using the Flawless Sentiments Press Plate & Die without ink. It resembles a laser-printed metal label.

You can use any colors you like for the pattern, and I will match the card’s base to the pattern color.

 

Glitter Die-cut Makeup Bag

I used silver glitter cardstock to die-cut the makeup bag insert.

I used the Wildberry Card stock for the card holder insert.

 

I created a lock for the bag using the stopper from the Gorgeous You Perfume die.

 

I added the metal label using the Ideal Moments Press Plate and die set.

Embossed Textured Makeup Bag

I used Brushed Gold cardstock and Brushed Black cardstock to emboss the Cross Hearts 3D embossing folder.

 

I designed a locking mechanism for the card holder, but it is not as easy to open and close as the previous two designs. Therefore, you can skip this design; it is my preference.

 

I created a heart using the Kaleidoscope Noble Suits die.

I’ve added Puffy Heart wax seals to the heart. The Puffy Heart wax seal will be launched on April 10th.
