It’s a busy season, and I understand that keeping up with daily posts while preparing for the holidays can be challenging. I have a new approach to suggest: instead of starting a new project every day with an advent calendar, let’s collect items for a week or ten days and then create amazing projects using everything we’ve gathered. You can open the calendar daily, but save the items to unleash your creativity all at once at the end of the week. This way, we can make the most of our time and resources!
I aimed to work primarily with the products from the Advent Calendar set.
DAY 7-Stencil
First, I die-cut the Lagoon color and white card stock with the Perfect Touch Rectangles die.
I used the Day 7’s Stencil set using the Napa Valley Mini ink cube from Pinkfresh Studio and blending brushes.
For my project, I used the Parcel & Post Sentiment Hot Foil Glimmer Plate. Since this item is currently sold out, you can use the Parcel & Post Sentiment Clear Stamp set as an alternative. Simply stamp with VersaMark ink, then apply gold embossing powder and heat set it for a beautiful finish.
I completed it by adding gold embellishments to the flowers.
Day 8- Flower and Vase Dies
First, I embossed the Nature’s Botanical Wreath 3D Embossing Folder on the sage card stock.
I die-cut the Modern Oval die on white card stock.
I die-cut Day 8 dies from green, red, and yellow card stock. I die-cut the flower vase from white card stock, then embossed it with the Day 11 embossing folder and shaded the color using blending brushes.
I completed the card using the “Cheers to You” sentiment BetterPress plate. I hot foiled it with white foil on black cardstock and die-cut it with the coordinating die.
Day 11, 18 & 20
I die-cut Lagoon color cardstock using the Hexi-gems die. I then embossed the die-cut Lagoon cardstock with the Day 11 embossing folder from the 2024 Advent Calendar.
I used the Day 20 stencil on white cardstock with two colors: Violet and Lagoon. I die-cut the Bold Number die from the Color Mix Celebration Collection using the silver glitter cardstock. Additionally, I die-cut the Large Die Club from December 2024 and added dots and stripes with white gel pens.
I placed the sequins from Day 18 of the 2024 Advent Calendar into the Hexi Gem Dome and colored them using the stenciled paper. For the sentiment, I utilized the Bold Color Mix Number Press Plate with dark blue ink.
I applied gold foil to the sentiment using the Bestie Friends Press Plate and then die-cut it with a coordinating die. I finished by adding Opal gems to the glasses.
DAY 14, 16 and 17
I love the French Bulldog from Day 14 of the 2024 Advent Calendar. I was inspired by Pop Art to create this card.
I die-cut each color of cardstock using the Day 17 block die. I also die-cut French Bulldogs in various colors of cardstock and used the smart glasses die for one of the French Bulldogs. Additionally, I die-cut the Day 16 die on white cardstock for the sentiments.
I am glad you took the time to read this post. I hope it has motivated you to unleash your creativity. Do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or feedback.
