Spellbinders Essential Holiday Collection by Lisa Horton

Hello Friends,

I am thrilled to unveil my new Christmas Cards featuring the Essential Holidays Collection.

Joy & Blessings Ornaments Card

First, I pressed red ink with the Candy Cane Stripes Press Plate on cotton BP cardstock to create the background.

Next, I hot foiled the Holly Leaves BP plate in red cardstock with white hot foil.

I die-cut white cardstock with the Perfect Touch Rectangle die to create a frame for the hot-foiled panel.

I die-cut the Festive Ornaments from white cardstock and colored them with blending brushes. To create ornaments with sentiments, I hot-foiled the Festive Circle Sentiments Press Plates with gold foil, and then die-cut them with coordinating dies. Finally, I finished up with silver embellishments.

Happy Holidays Trees Card

First, emboss the Argyle Plaid 3D embossing folder on black cardstock. Then, die-cut white cardstock with the Starshine Background and finally, die-cut it with the Perfect Touch Rectangle die.

Next, I die-cut gold metallic card stock with Nested Tree Frame die, and die-cut the tree with multi-colored card stock.

I die-cut the trees using nine colors of card stock and assembled them. Then, I gold hot foiled the sentiments on black card stock with the Festive Circle Sentiments and die-cut them with the coordinating die.

I decorated the trees with gold embellishments.

Holidays Donuts Box Card

I created another fun box card this year. You may recall my gingerbread cookies box card from last year. For this holiday season, I crafted a festive donuts box using the Festive Ornaments dies.

I wanted to create a variety of looks on my doughnuts, so I used the Gnome Tree die set to cut out different shapes from strings.

I made sure to hot-foil the Festive Circle Sentiments Plate onto Forest Card Stock using gold foil. After that, I used a coordinating die to cut it out. Additionally, I used the Perfect Touch Rectangle die to cut the Handmade Holidays Paper pad and create a wax paper for the donut.

Box card Tutorial

I know it’s not the same design of the card, but it uses the same mechanism as a donut box card.

I used the bow die from the Christmas Cocktails set to create the box cover.
