Spellbinders- Better Press Club of the Month (July 2023)

Hello Crafty Friends,

I am excited to share these beautiful Christmas cards featuring the Better Press Club of the Month for July 2023. Spellbinders just launched the Better Press System last month.

I received the Better Press System last month, but I have not used it enough to achieve a perfect result. Nonetheless, I am having a lot of fun making cards.

Classic Style Christmas Card

“I love using the red and green classic Christmas card color combo in my Christmas cards. I just painted watercolors after applying black ink to the Better Press plate.”

Also, I hot-foiled the “Merry Christmas” sentiment with gold foil on white cardstock, and then die-cut it using the Stylish Ovals dies.

CARD RECIPE:

“Choose watercolor paper instead of cotton cardstock for watercolor painting. Watercolor paper is ideal for water-based paints and allows for better spreading and blending. Although experimenting with different types of paper is recommended, it’s important to anticipate different results. I should try coloring with markers on cotton cardstock sometime to compare the results with watercoloring.”

Gold Hot Foiled Christmas Card

It is my first tried hot foiling using the Better Press plate. absolutely I love the result.

“I die-cut the holy sprigs on gold cardstock to match the gold background.”

CARD RECIPE:

“I really love the results I achieved with the Better Press Plate for foiling.”

Beautiful Poinsettia Frame Christmas Card

“It has a similar design to the first card. However, I used a different color for the background of the sentiment.”

This is my second card colored with watercolor on the cotton card stock.

I think it colored better than the first one.

CARD RECIPE:

It is first tried the Better Press System and I had so much fun to play with.
